During the exhibition 'Sedition' in Carlisle, prior to my leaving that city, viewers of this performance followed me along a pre-laid line of red wool as I sprinkled salt on it, leading to a plinth, where I wound red wool round my head and, lying down on the plinth, and poured salt over my eyes.
